My daily thought: "I'm old, Gandalf. I know I don't look it, but I'm beginning to feel it in my heart. I feel... thin. Sort of stretched, like... butter scraped over too much bread."
OMG for me it was 44! I've found that yoga helps A LOT., especially for the hips. And magnesium. I really want to do the California national parks drive with my mom.
Aging - it sucks. I noticed things started going downhill in my mid 40’s. I started taking calcium/magnesium as well as glucosamine/chondroitin. Helped my bones stay strong and magnesium really helps with sleep.
Second the Gulf Shores area! Beautiful colors, beach and people have been so friendly. San Diego - old town has a lot of history from our neighbors to the south of the US. But for us, we avoid states that discriminate and outright make life miserable for so many. My tourist dollars won’t be spent there.
I've started the magnesium thing, and that's helped with the sleep for sure. I'll read up on the others!
And I get it about AL. Living in one of the dire states I really get it, but also having so many friends living in the midst of it, I'm always torn about where my dollars should go: keep them out of the state or give them to the like-minded people in my friends' communities.
I didn’t think about sharing my $ with like minded people. Think of Texas, so much to do and see but you have to get gas, eat somewhere and lodge somewhere. You may not have that choice. When my hubs was doing archery professionally, we went to southern states all year long. The things I saw and heard, and my being vocal, made me a pariah among most of the archers. I love traveling but I was glad he retired from it and we can now go where we want to.

I need to get back into yoga. I was heavy into it before COVID and then when the studio closed I didn't go back. I think it's time.
